I could not really follow the plot of this book. Had something to do with the First Language, from which all other languages derived. Then had our ancestors killing each other. And then the Russians, Brits etc got involved as some smart cookie had worked out that all media is rigged and the ruling classes use to their advantage and mind-control our thinking. The smart cookie had been held “hostage” for over twenty years but the captors paid his wife fifty million pounds and a generous monthly stipend.
Sorry E.M. I did like some of the language but would not recommend for a summer reading list
